Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton the Heiress
Paris Hilton is the first-born daughter in the latest generation of the super rich Hilton family. The Hilton name is of Norwegian origin. Her great-great-grandfather August Halvorsen Hilton was born on the family farm Hilton, at Kløfta, just outside Oslo, Norway before immigrating to the US with his family at age 10.
Paris Whitney Hilton was born on February 17, 1981, to Rick and Kathy Hilton, making her the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton hotels and source of the family fortune. The Hilton Family Fortune is about $300 million dollars. Her grandfather, Conrad "Nicky" Hilton, Jr., also brought some notoriety to the family, as he was the first of Elizabeth Taylor’s many ex-husbands. Paris' younger sister, Nicky shares the throne as co-heiress of the Hilton Empire.
Paris the Party Girl
Aside from the millions in trust fund money, Paris is best know for being a high-society party girl, part-time model, and part-time actress. Paris and her sister Nicky have set the standard for the rich, young socialite. Paris has gained a great deal of attention in the tabloid press for her partying, which is full of juvenile antics. For example her obnoxious conduct at a number of functions and parties at such high-profile venues as the notorious Studio 54.
Paris adores the spotlight, and is very uninhibited, pouty, girlish public persona that tends to be haughty and self-centered. Paris has garnered additional attention in the tabloids for her connections with movie stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Edward Furlong, Jamie Kennedy, Simon Rex, Rob Mills, Deryck Whibley, Robert Evans, Oscar De La Hoya, and nightclub owner Ingrid Casares.
Perhaps her two most outrageous and uninhibited antics were the sex session with notorious lesbian, Ingrid Casares, and a explicit homemade sex tape between her and Rick Salomon who is Shannen Doherty’s estranged husband. The sex tape was scattered all over the Internet in October of 2003. She was 19 years old when the sex tape was made.
Paris the Beauty
Paris isn't quite a voluptuous knockout, but she certainly is very pretty. Her success as a model is understandable. Her slender frame is ideal for a cover girl and model. Her blonde hair, brown eyes, long legs, sensuous mouth, and beautiful face are most attractive. Paris often wears blue contact lenses that do accent her brown eyes very well.
Statistics: Born Feb. 17, 1981 in New York. 34-25-35 Eyes: Brown, Hair: Blonde, Height: 5 feet 8 inches. Weight:110 lbs.
Paris' style is not elegant, as it tends to shock. At a high-profile Los Angeles affair she wore a white shredded-hem silk dress with rhinestones, sky-high platform shoes, and a white bomber hat - ouch. Usually Paris can be seen in low-slung jeans, a tank top, a denim jacket, diamond waistbands, and too much makeup. This gives the look of a kind of overpriced pseudo-chic. We have not yet see Paris in anything truly elegant. Style aside, she does exude a sexy playful beauty.
Paris the Model, Actress and Designer
Growing up in Manhattan's ritzy Waldorf-Astoria, the family's New York home, as well as other Hilton mansions in Beverly Hills and the Hamptons on Long Island in New York, Paris didn't seem to lack material comforts. After graduating from high school Paris decided to branch out and become famous. She began to make a name for herself as a model, soon appearing in shows for designers such as Marc Bouwer and Catherine Malandrino, and she later completed an ad campaign for Iceberg, an Italian label. In addition, Paris has posed for spreads in national magazines such as GQ, Vanity Fair and FHM, and has also been profiled, along with her sister, in People magazine. In 2001, she had a cameo appearance in the fashion spoof, Zoolander. Other appearances include a role as a strung-out supermodel in the film short QIK2JDG, The Hillz, Wonderland, and the movie adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic, The Cat in the Hat. She also starred in the FOX reality show, The Simple Life, which featured Paris Hilton living on a farm. The show was quite a success. Paris has designed a high-end collection of purses for Tokyo label Samantha Thavasa, along with her sister Nicky. Her attempts to start a modeling company and a makeup line have failed.
Paris has also given back at least a little; she has done charity work for Toys for Tots and charitable events, such as a casino night to benefit Harlem's Room to Grow charity.
Paris' fame remains closer to notoriety than true recognition, but to be fair she is still young. Who knows what she may become.
